The lodge has a semi-tame coati that hangs out about the area... probably living off of food scraps. Tato gave us a banana to feed him. Lalo says coatis eat everything. The coati has a striped tail like a raccoon and a protruding nose like a small version of an anteater.








He sniffs everything and his nose makes squeaky noises.



I went out with the banana which I passed to Rowshan as I got close to the coati. The coati, thinking I had hidden the banana jumped on me with his front legs and stuck his nose up my sleeve. Once he saw Rowshan had the banana, he snatched it away and climbed on top of a building and ate it. Later he curled up underneath the roof edge.
